Sorin Peña
I write music for the concert stage and screen, and bring musicians together through teaching, performance, and international exchange.

For four years, Sorin has helped build a sustained music exchange in Vietnam, leading annual two-week exchanges that bring traditional musicians, academy students, and visiting artists into shared rehearsal, teaching, and performance.

About
Writing toward meaning.
Sorin Peña is a Fort Worth–area composer and trombonist whose work joins dramatic shape with emotional and theological questions.
He attended the University of Houston, studying under Dr. Marcus Maroney in the Moores School of Music. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Composition in 2023. That same summer, Sorin began leading annual trips to Vietnam to engage with musicians, artists, and students. He later earned his Advanced Certificate in Christian Ministry from Dallas Baptist University in 2025.
His current large-scale focus is Creation, a symphonic project born from faith and a renewed artistic calling. His work in ministry, teaching, international collaboration, and arts leadership keeps his music grounded in people: what they carry, what they fear, and where they find hope.
